Coronavirus Update – 12 Mar 2020

Covid-19 at Soma Healthcare

Dear service users, family and friends,

We write to update you with details of the precautions Soma Healthcare is taking to protect service users and the community against the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19)

We are mindful that many of those we provide services to have underlying health conditions that would make them more vulnerable than others, should they become infected.

We are grateful for the cooperation of staff in observing the measures that we have in place so far.  These include more regular and more thorough hand washing, the use and safe disposal of tissues, and the avoidance of hand shaking during normal social interactions

We would appreciate your assistance by taking the following precautions:

  • Increased disinfection of high-contact areas such as toilets, door handles, telephones
  • Ensure any persons entering the home, wash their hands; on arrival to the home, after using the toilet, before food preparation and before eating any food, including snacks

We will inform you should there be a need to do anything differently as advised by government guidelines

We would like thank you all for your understanding and support at this time. We will continue to do all that we can to ensure that services continue as usual
